The Communications Administrator, as a member of the AIR NATIONAL GUARD (ANG) Geo Integration Office (GIO) will provide a comprehensive education and communication program related to geospatial integration systems and implementation within the ANG. Working in coordination with the Mission Integration Manager, Garrison Manager and Operations Manager, the Communications Administrator will be responsible for two core areas of the GeoBase program:
1) Education & Training support 2) Communication & Outreach
In coordination with the ANG GIO Training Sub-committee oversee the development, update, and maintenance of the GIO training curriculum, syllabus, training materials and schedule
Identify, establish and maintain good working relationships with key resources (DoD, external agencies...etc) that provide input or value to ANG GIO Education & Training
Document and manage the GIOs investment in training assets & resources
Coordinate and schedule GIO training events, including logistics such as coordinating trainers, ordering training materials, shipping equipment, developing certification, and coordinate training locations
Evaluate the development of supplemental training medium such as satellite broadcast, Web-based, and computer based training
Specific to Communication and Outreach Management Develop an ANG GIO awareness program that is focused on enterprise-wide understanding and awareness of GIO capabilities, resources and procedures
Develop ANG GIO Standard Operating Procedures and procedures for maintaining SOP
Prepare and deliver ANG GeoBase informational devices (i.e., newsletter, status reports)
Maintain web content related to all communications and education activities
Requirements:
BA/BS in Business Administration, Management Science, Education, Communications, Geography, Computer Science or other related degrees.
EXPERIENCE: 4 years of various training and promotion related experience
Experience: with various web technologies providing or arranging training sessions implementing or managing promotion or awareness programs
Proficient: With strong leadership and coordination skills organized and detail oriented skills within a fast paced environment without supervision with strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge: within an information technology setting, preferably GIS of relevant DoD geospatial or information technologies programs preferred
